Director of Food, Beverage & Entertainment

Guided by our promise to turn every moment into a special memory, we are seeking a Director of Food, Beverage & Entertainment to drive operational excellence, inspire high-performance teams, and deliver exceptional guest experiences across all F&B&E outlets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and uphold the highest standards of operating procedures across all Food, Beverage & Entertainment (F&B&E) services, managing teams in close collaboration with Banquets, Outlets, and Entertainment Managers;

  • Train, coach, and lead a high-performance team, fostering a culture of excellence, engagement, and guest satisfaction;

  • Define and clearly communicate the strategic direction of the Food & Beverage department, in partnership with the Director of Culinary and the Operations Manager;

  • Perform effectively under pressure while managing all administrative responsibilities, ensuring the achievement of qualitative and financial targets, with a strong focus on revenue growth and service quality;

  • Ensure the highest and most efficient level of service expected by our guests, in full compliance with LQA and Forbes quality standards;

  • Guarantee that all outlets (beach club, bars, restaurants, room service, and banquets) operate consistently and efficiently;

  • Lead alignment meetings with teams and ensure key operational and strategic information is clearly communicated;

  • Establish performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide coaching to support professional growth and succession planning;

  • Address employee and guest matters promptly and effectively, maintaining an active leadership presence and proactive engagement in operational areas;

  • Develop and manage the Food, Beverage & Entertainment budget in accordance with forecasts and established business objectives.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, Tourism, or related fields;
  • Proven experience leading Food, Beverage & Entertainment operations in luxury hotels or resorts, preferably within international brands;
  • Strong background in high-volume, high-demand environments with demonstrated excellence in people leadership;
  • Creative and innovative mindset, comfortable leading teams, projects, and expanding operational responsibilities;
  • Excellent interpersonal and public-relations skills, essential for engaging guests, local residents, and Rio’s vibrant lifestyle community;
  • Fluent Portuguese and English required; French or Spanish is a plus.
