Engineering Manager
Primary Responsibilities 主要职责:
- Define and control the engineering scope of work in alignment with project objectives, contract requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Develop and implement the overall Project Engineering Plan, schedule, and resource allocation for the assigned engineering scope.
- Review and endorse the engineering resource plan prepared by Discipline Leaders and ensure adequate staffing for the project.
- Align engineering disciplines toward common project objectives, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Prepare and deliver all necessary calculations and documentation for reviewed, verified, and approved designs.
- Provide technical expertise and detailed information on control capabilities and equipment to support sales activities.
- Assist parts operations by identifying suitable substitutions and/or recommending system improvements, ensuring alignment with economic constraints.
Project Specific Responsibilities 项目具体职责:
- Ensure the execution of the engineering scope complies with contract requirements, internal standards, and industry best practices.
- Oversee the development of safe, operable, and cost-effective designs, addressing all interface issues to avoid rework.
- Organize and lead design reviews with designs and drafters, ensuring implementation of review results and lessons learned.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality systems, and HSE requirements.
- Prepare and present engineering progress reports, resource forecasts, and technical documentation to project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with international standards and regulations (e.g., API, ISO, IEC, ABS, DNV, NORSOK) and client specifications.
- Address and resolve site design queries, ensuring timely responses to avoid delays in construction and commissioning.
- Monitor and control engineering changes, ensuring traceability and approval of deviations or variations.
Qualifications/ Requirements 任职要求:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Structural, Process, Electrical, or Instrumentation).
- Minimum 10 years of engineering experience in the offshore oil and gas industry, with at least 3 years in a senior management role.
- Proven experience in multi-disciplinary projects, including floating oil and gas production systems (e.g., FPSO, FPU, FLNG).
- Site experience as a discipline lead or engineering manager is preferred.
- Broad knowledge of offshore oil and gas production systems, including topside process modules, structural design, and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in engineering design tools and software relevant to key disciplines, such as Tekla, E3D, Smart Plant, etc.
- Strong understanding of international standards and regulations (e.g., API, ISO, IEC, ABS, DNV, NORSOK).
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
- Demonstrated team management experience, with the ability to lead and align multi-disciplinary teams toward common objectives.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Strong contractual awareness and ability to manage engineering scope within budget and schedule constraints.
