Executive (Operations), Containers/PCTC

This position offers the opportunity to manage complex voyage cycles from pre-fixture planning to post-fixture completion while ensuring maximum customer satisfaction. You will work at the heart of our commercial operations, balancing vessel efficiency with rigorous compliance and cost management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full voyage cycle for spot and time charter fixtures to ensure all charter party requirements are met.
  • Monitor vessel movements and maintain real-time updates within the IMOS operations module.
  • Coordinate pre-fixture activities including the submission of Q88s, trading certificates, and stowage plans.
  • Review fixture recaps and provide clear proceeding instructions to Masters regarding speed and consumption.
  • Appoint agents and surveyors while overseeing the timely remittance of port duty accounts.
  • Execute post-fixture tasks such as calculating demurrage, submitting claims, and preparing voyage results.
  • Liaise with insurance and security departments regarding war risk areas and guard embarkation.
  • Facilitate time charter deliveries and redeliveries in strict accordance with contract notice periods.
  • Initiate freight billing and ensure all bunker and hire invoices are processed accurately.
  • Ensure all vessel operations comply with legal standards, liabilities, and safety certificates.

Requirements

  • Diploma holder or higher qualification in a relevant field.
  • One to two years of relevant working experience within the shipping industry.
  • Preferably at least one year of sailing experience onboard a vessel.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and professional email communication.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills to interact with seafarers and global stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • A proactive learner with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
