Finance Executive

The Finance Executive is responsible for overseeing the company’s financial planning, cash-flow, budgeting, and financial control functions. This role supports management in decision-making by providing accurate analysis, forward-looking financial insights, and proper governance over financial risks. This position ensures that the organization’s finances remain healthy, controlled, and strategically aligned to business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare cash-flow forecasts (weekly, monthly, and project-based)

• Develop annual budgets and monitor variance against actual performance

• Forecast revenue, expenses, and project profitability

• Assist in long-term financial modelling to support business growth

• Monitor daily cash position and ensure sufficient liquidity for operations

• Coordinate with banks on payments, fund transfers, performance bonds, trade facilities (LC, BG, TR)

• Optimize cash utilization and alert management of potential shortfalls

• Prepare management reports (P&L analysis, cost breakdowns, project profitability)

• Analyze financial performance and highlight risks and opportunities

• Present financial insights to Directors and Managers

• Implement internal controls and SOPs for financial processes

• Ensure compliance with financial governance standards

• Maintain approval workflows and expenditure control

• Liaise with bankers for account matters, loan facilities, and documentation

• Assist in evaluating financing options for capex or working capital

• Prepare documentation for performance bonds, insurance, and trade finance


This role collaborates with the Accounts Executive, who handles AP/AR transactions, bookkeeping, GST, filing, audit support, and month-end closing. The Finance Executive uses this accounting data for planning and analysis.
