Financial Reporting Manager
Job Description:
The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for overseeing financial reporting and planning activities, providing accurate insights and analysis to support business units and leadership decision-making. This role ensures compliance with internal controls, statutory regulations, and reporting requirements while assisting in the development of financial models and forecasting tools. Partnering closely with business leaders, the role delivers meaningful financial data and supports overall business performance and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including internal management reports and reporting packages to the parent company.
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Prepare variance, profitability, and key financial reports (e.g., gross margin, cost per hire/seat, CSR, environmental).
Analyze financial data and translate insights into actionable business recommendations.
Financial Planning & Forecasting
Assist in developing financial models and forecasting tools
Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning activities
Identify risks and opportunities versus plan and recommend corrective actions
Business Support & Decision-Making
Provide financial insights and analysis to support business leaders and cross-functional teams
Conduct financial research, review financial statements, and support management analysis
Perform financial impact assessments and support cross-functional initiatives
Compliance & Internal Controls
Ensure compliance with internal policies, GAAP, and Philippine regulatory requirements
Support internal controls and ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Leadership & Process Improvement
Supervise and support a team in delivering high-quality financial reporting
Promote financial awareness and cost management initiatives across the organization
Identify opportunities to improve operational and reporting efficiencies
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
*Candidates must meet one of the following:
External Audit & Corporate Background: 2–4 years (senior level) of external audit experience combined with 1–5 years of experience in corporate accounting or finance.
BPO Management Background: Experience as an Accounting Manager, Finance Manager (or Assistant Manager) in a BPO setting with 2–5 years of management experience.
FP&A Management Background: Experience as a Management Accountant (FP&A) with 2–5 years of management experience.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
Strong knowledge of Philippine GAAP, accounting standards, and financial reporting practices
Familiarity with Philippine tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
Experience in preparing financial statements, management reports, and account analyses
Strong financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel); experience with financial systems is a plus
Ability to analyze complex financial data and independently resolve accounting issues
