FOOD SERVICES CREW LEADER

Job Description:

  • Lead a team of food service crew members in daily operations, including food assembly, portioning, packing, and customer service.

  • Assign tasks and manage shift schedules to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment.

  • Monitor food quality, portion consistency, and presentation standards before items leave the central kitchen or service counter.

  • Enforce food safety and hygiene protocols, including proper handwashing, glove use, surface sanitizing, and temperature checks.

  • Train new crew members on standard operating procedures (SOPs), equipment use, and safety guidelines.

  • Assist in inventory checks for ingredients, packaging, and cleaning supplies; report shortages to supervisor.

  • Handle basic customer inquiries or complaints professionally, escalating issues when necessary.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment; ensure all equipment is properly cleaned and stored after shifts.

  • Complete daily paperwork including production logs, temperature records, and waste reports.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in food service, fast food, or catering environment, with at least 6 months in a lead or trainer role.

  • Basic knowledge of food safety principles (e.g., HACCP, ServSafe, or local equivalent) is preferred.

  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 15–20 kg throughout the shift.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills; able to give clear instructions under pressure.

  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented with a focus on consistency and cleanliness.

  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; food handler certification is a plus.
