Full-Time Mathematics Tutor

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Mathematics Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction across both Foundation Mathematics and Upper-Level Mathematics. The ideal candidate will be confident teaching in both English and Mandarin, and experienced with international school curricula such as IB, IBDP, Cambridge, or similar frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Foundation Mathematics to develop students’ numerical fluency, problem-solving skills, and mathematical reasoning.
• Teach Upper-Level Mathematics, including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics, Calculus, and other advanced topics as required.
• Design and deliver engaging, student-centered lessons aligned with IB, Cambridge, or equivalent curricula.
• Support students in developing conceptual understanding, analytical thinking, and application of mathematical concepts.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the learning needs and abilities of students at different levels.
• Prepare students for internal assessments, school examinations, and external examinations where applicable.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with students and parents regarding academic progress and learning goals.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback and maintain accurate academic records.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure cohesive curriculum planning and consistent learning outcomes.
• Assist students with coursework, examination preparation, and long-term academic development.
• Create a positive and motivating learning environment that encourages confidence, curiosity, and independent thinking.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Engineering, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
• Ability to teach effectively in both English and Mandarin.
• Experience teaching Mathematics in international school settings (IB, Cambridge, etc.) preferred.
• Strong understanding of inquiry-based learning and student-centered instruction.
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for students with diverse learning needs and academic abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching IB Mathematics (PYP/MYP/DP) or Cambridge Mathematics (IGCSE/A-Level).
• Familiarity with bilingual or dual-language teaching environments.
• Prior tutoring centre or international school teaching experience.
• Experience preparing students for competitive examinations, Olympiads, or advanced mathematics programs.
• Passion for helping students build strong mathematical foundations and achieve academic excellence.
