Mathematics Teacher (IGCSE / A-As Level)
Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and highly qualified Mathematics Teacher to join our dynamic faculty. In this role, you will inspire secondary and pre-university students, equipping them with the critical thinking and analytical skills needed to excel in their Cambridge IGCSE and International A/AS Level examinations. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that demystify complex mathematical concepts, fostering a deep appreciation for the subject, and guiding students through rigorous exam preparation.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with Cambridge IGCSE and International A/AS Level Mathematics syllabi to enhance student understanding and performance.
- Design, administer, and grade formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback to address learning gaps.
- Develop and implement targeted revision strategies and remedial sessions based on analysis of past examination papers to optimize student exam readiness.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning needs, ensuring both struggling students and high-achievers receive appropriate challenge and support.
- Maintain clear and regular communication with parents and school leadership regarding student academic progress, behavior, and development.
- Stay informed on updates to Cambridge assessment frameworks and actively participate in departmental collaboration and curriculum planning.
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, Education (with a Math major), or a highly quantitative field.
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of proven experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE and A/AS Level Mathematics with demonstrated strong student examination outcomes.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Formal teaching qualification such as Be.Ed, PGDE, NIE certification, or equivalent international teaching license is highly preferred.
