If selected at the GS-09 or GS-11 level, duties will be performed in a developmental capacity:
Develops timelines, provides necessary coordination, guides design and construction agents, and provides advice for issue resolution.
Reviews proposed activity plans, specifications, and cost estimates for technical adequacy.
Represents DLA Energy in formal and informal meetings and conferences with other federal agencies, state governments, consultants, and contractors.
Posts goods receipts sufficient to represent project progress and acquire all evidentiary materials required for project closure.
Provides advice and assistance on unusual conditions or design deficiencies that arise during construction and may affect project funding, progress, or completion.
Exercises engineering leadership during project development phase to ensure designs comply with applicable engineering practices and code requirements for petroleum facilities.
Directly assists planners in providing engineering services and data to the activity for the preparation of DD Form1391s, facilities studies, and economic analyses.
