About the company

Our client is a growing Asia-based platform operating across renewable energy and next-generation digital infrastructure. This is a senior dual-hat legal leadership role based in Malaysia, covering both country-level renewables legal matters and group-level data centre legal matters across Asia.

The role

The role will lead legal support for Malaysia’s renewable energy business, including energy projects across development, construction, financing and operations. It will also act as Group Head of Legal for the data centre platform, covering end-to-end legal matters across site development, construction, power arrangements, customer contracts, regulatory, licensing, data protection, privacy, cybersecurity, AI-related regulation and operational risk.

Requirements

We are looking for a senior lawyer with deep data centre lifecycle experience, ideally across APAC. Strong international exposure, top academic credentials and the ability to operate both strategically and hands-on are important. Renewable energy, power or infrastructure experience would be helpful, but data centre experience is the priority.

This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of AI infrastructure and renewable energy, with regional scope across Malaysia, Japan, Singapore, South Korea and Thailand.
