Health Technician (Surgical)

About the Position: The purpose of this position is to serve as a paraprofessional member of the surgical team in the performance of scrub and/or circulating Operating Room duties. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Follow pre-operative nursing care plan in preparing the patient and operating room.

Prepare required supplies, equipment, and instruments for surgical procedures.

Obtain supplies needed during surgery.

Clean operating room after surgery and replenish general supplies.
