Housekeeping Supervisor

  • Supervise the housekeeping team on assigned floors, ensuring all rooms and public areas meet Fairmont’s luxury standards
  • Conduct detailed inspections of guest rooms, corridors, and service areas to guarantee flawless cleanliness and presentation
  • Support the Housekeeping Manager in coordinating daily operations, priorities, and service expectations
  • Lead by example, maintaining a polished, professional presence throughout the hotel
  • Ensure timely completion of room assignments, managing productivity and service flow
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and on‑the‑job training to room attendants and housekeeping colleagues
  • Respond promptly to guest requests, ensuring personalised and anticipatory service
  • Collaborate with Front Office, Guest Relations, Engineering, and F&B to ensure smooth room readiness and guest satisfaction
  • Monitor stock levels, linen quality, and housekeeping supplies, ensuring efficient usage and replenishment
  • Support service recovery, addressing guest concerns with discretion and professionalism
  • Maintain accurate records of room status, maintenance issues, and housekeeping reports
  • Ensure compliance with Fairmont grooming, service, and cleanliness standards at all times
  • Uphold health, safety, and hygiene procedures, including COSHH and manual‑handling guidelines
  • Participate in daily briefings, sharing updates on occupancy, VIP arrivals, and operational priorities
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new team members
  • Promote a positive, collaborative, and guest‑focused team culture
  • Ensure lost‑and‑found procedures are followed accurately and securely
  • Support additional tasks as required by the Housekeeping leadership team
  • 2 years’ experience in housekeeping, ideally within a luxury hotel environment
  • Previous supervisory or team‑leading experience strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a polished, professional presence
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining luxury standards
  • Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, room presentation, and cleaning standards
  • Understanding of UK health & safety regulations, including COSHH
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and support a diverse team
  • Basic IT skills for housekeeping systems and reporting
  • A passion for luxury hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences
