Import Export Analyst 2

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

1. Export License Management

  • Handling various export licenses, including:
    • Advance License
    • SCOMET License (Special Chemicals, Organisms, Materials, Equipment & Technologies)
    • Brand Rate / Export Promotion Schemes
  • Ensuring timely application, tracking, utilization, and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Liaising with government authorities for license issuance, amendments, and clarifications.

2. Import Compliance & Customs Queries

  • Resolving customs and regulatory queries related to import shipments, including:
    • SIMS (Strategic Import Management System)
    • PIMS (Project Import Management System)
    • Other applicable regulatory clearances
  • Ensuring compliance with Foreign Trade Policy, Customs Act, and related regulations.
  • Preparing and submitting statutory documents and reports to authorities.

3. Special Shipment Management

  • Managing Re-Import and Re-Export shipments.
  • Handling Capital Goods imports, including duty exemptions and associated documentation.
  • Coordinating with vendors, freight forwarders, and customs authorities for seamless execution.

4. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintaining accurate records of licenses, shipping documents, customs correspondence, and approvals.
  • Preparing periodic MIS reports on license utilization, shipment status, and compliance.
  • Coordinating with Finance, Procurement, and Sales teams for data alignment.

5. Process Improvement & Regulatory Updates

  • Identifying opportunities to streamline EXIM processes for improved efficiency and compliance.
  • Staying updated on changes in trade policies, customs procedures, and licensing requirements.

Who You Are:

  • Strong knowledge of EXIM regulations, licensing procedures, and customs processes.
  • Hands-on experience with SIMS, PIMS, and other regulatory portals.
  • Exposure to Re-Import, Re-Export, and Capital Goods shipments.
  • Strong documentation, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities for customs and regulatory issues.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 8–10 years of experience in Export-Import operations, preferably in manufacturing or international trade.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Mandatory hands-on exposure to government licensing systems and customs procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in working oracle or any ERP Tool
  • MS office/ BI Tool Knowledge.
