Industrial Hygienist

About the Position: The incumbent performs duties encompassing all phases of the industrial hygiene program. Full-time position, typically Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm. Some flexibility may be required for special assessments, emergency responses, or training sessions. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Independently plan, conduct, and administer inspections, surveys, and evaluations as part of a comprehensive industrial hygiene program for multiple military activities.

Conduct periodic surveys of working conditions to determine the nature and magnitude of hazardous exposure and the effectiveness of existing control measures.

Provide consultation and advice to various activities on occupational health problems.

Conduct surveys and studies to determine the need for medical surveillance for employees who are routinely exposed to toxic materials, noise, or other physical hazards.

Consult with the Industrial Hygiene Service Chief on surveys and studies performed to determine the control measures needed.
