The Integration Manager is responsible for planning, delivering, and operating integrations across enterprise applications and external partner systems. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with strong communication and stakeholder management to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable integration solutions. The Integration Manager works closely with product, engineering, security, operations, and client stakeholders to define requirements, manage delivery, and drive successful outcomes.
Core Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end integration delivery across applications and platforms, from requirements through deployment and support
Design, build, and oversee integrations using Microsoft Azure Logic Apps and Azure Integration Services (connectors, triggers/actions, workflow orchestration)
Establish standards and best practices for API design, development, and governance (versioning, documentation, security, and lifecycle management)
Partner with business, product, and engineering teams to elicit requirements and translate them into integration designs and delivery plans
Own project plans, schedules, risks/dependencies, and execution for integration initiatives; provide clear status reporting and escalation when required
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across all integrations (access controls, auditability, and secure data handling)
Implement operational readiness, including monitoring, alerting, runbooks, and incident response for integration services.
Troubleshoot integration and workflow failures, perform root-cause analysis, and drive corrective/preventative actions to meet SLAs
Collaborate across teams (platform, security, operations, and QA) to align on architecture, environments, and release readiness
Manage and mentor integration engineers and developers through technical guidance, design/code reviews, and development planning
Drive automation, scalability, and continuous improvement through reusable components, templates, and operational best practices
Maintain integration documentation, architecture diagrams, and knowledge articles in Confluence
Communication & Stakeholder Management
Act as a primary point of contact for integration-related discussions with internal stakeholders and external clients
Facilitate requirement workshops, technical discussions, and solution walkthroughs with clear, audience-appropriate communication
Proactively manage expectations by communicating risks, trade-offs, and implementation constraints early
Coordinate with partner teams and vendors to unblock delivery and ensure successful end-to-end outcomes
Required Technical Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Azure Logic Apps and Azure Integration Services (connectors, managed connectors, triggers/actions, HTTP, scheduling)
Must have experience with Azure API Management (APIM) (API publishing, policies, authentication/authorization, versioning, and monitoring)
Must have experience with Azure Service Bus (queues/topics, dead-letter handling, retries, and message processing patterns)
Working knowledge of Logic Apps error handling, retries, idempotency, logging/ monitoring, and alerting (diagnostic settings, Azure Monitor/Application Insights where applicable)
Deep understanding of REST APIs, web services, and common integration patterns (sync/async, pub-sub, message-based, event-driven)
Experience with data formats such as JSON and XML, including data mapping and transformation techniques
Knowledge of authentication and security (OAuth 2.0, tokens, secret management, and API security best practices)
Experience in system design, architecture, and integration frameworks, with the ability to document designs clearly
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including analysis of failures across distributed systems
Preferred / Additional Skills
Experience with additional Azure integration components such as Azure Functions, Event Grid/Event Hubs, Storage Queues, and Key Vault
Experience implementing CI/CD for integration assets (e.g., Azure DevOps pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and environment promotion)
Knowledge of observability practices (structured logging, metrics, tracing), and production support/incident management processes
Understanding of enterprise security and compliance controls (least privilege, secrets management, auditing, and data protection
Experience with Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban), estimating, and dependency management across teams Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Developer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus
