This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Incumbent serves on the staff of the Directorate of Public Works where assignments are multi-disciplinary in nature to include elements from the disciplines of geography, cartography, surveying, mapping, landscaping, and community planning.

Maintain the enterprise Geographic Information System (GIS) database and serves as the Installation Geospatial Information and Services (IGIS) Manager.

Recommend solutions to complex planning problems related to conflicting factors of land use, development proposals, socioeconomic effects and environmental constraints.

Reviews project specifications, drawings, and reports to ensure construction program progresses in accordance with approved priorities, policies, laws, and regulations.

Develop comprehensive budget estimates by calculating costs for engineering, design, and master planning services.

Initiates and maintains liaison with a variety of agencies, including representing the organization at conferences with local, State, and Federal officials.
