Job Summary
Lead the full lifecycle implementation of SCADA/PLC/DCS projects for process plants, specializing in water and used water industries, ensuring effective design, programming, testing, and commissioning locally and overseas.
Responsibilities
- Implement SCADA/PLC/DCS projects from concept through design, configuration, programming, testing, and commissioning for process plants
- Evaluate P&IDs and develop functional design specifications to support project requirements
- Design control panels and subpanels and generate accurate I/O lists for system integration
- Develop functional blocks and program PLCs to meet process control needs
- Configure and interface SCADA systems for seamless operation and monitoring
- Apply working knowledge of Ethernet, Profinet, ProfibusDP, Profibus PA, and Modbus communication protocols to optimize system connectivity
- Execute hands-on programming and troubleshooting on Siemens, Schneider, and Omron PLCs
- Operate and configure HMI and SCADA platforms including Siemens, Schneider, GE Fanuc, and Wonderware for effective process visualization
- Independently conduct testing and commissioning at project sites both locally and overseas to ensure system performance and compliance
- Utilize basic information technology knowledge to support automation system integration
- Apply industry experience in water and used water sectors to tailor automation solutions effectively
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in Instrumentation & Control or Electrical Electronics from a recognized institution
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the process industry, specifically water, new water, and used water sectors
- Proven hands-on experience with PLC programming and automation system implementation
