Lead Python Engineer

We are searching for a committed Lead Python Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on enhancing cloud infrastructure, automation pipelines, and engineering approaches within an AWS-driven environment. The opportunity allows you to drive impactful migrations, contribute to AI-enabled engineering enhancements, and help shape secure, scalable platform foundations. Responsibilities Operate inside a spec-driven software development lifecycle Create AI-driven improvements for design, delivery, and triage workflows Review emerging tools and solutions as potential additions to enterprise-level AI enablement offerings Plan, build, and support AWS Lambda services and API Gateway endpoints using Python and boto3 Drive the CI/CD shift from legacy cicd-functions pipelines toward GitHub Actions workflows Manage infrastructure as code primarily through Terraform, supplemented by Serverless frameworks Execute brownfield refactors, service decommissions, and migrations, such as OAuth migrations, WAF block-mode deployments, and Mythos SAST/SCA fixes Define and refine AWS WAF rules while resolving security findings raised by SAST and SCA tooling Optimize operational workflows and contribute to agentic platform initiatives, where familiarity with n8n, LangChain, or similar orchestration tools is considered a plus Collaborate with the SRE Consultant on telemetry gaps and Lambda-based data collection automation Requirements A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience At least one year of experience leading and overseeing development teams Python development background centered on AWS Lambda and API Gateway in production environments Solid proficiency with boto3 across services including IAM, Secrets Manager, SSM, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and WAF Hands-on Terraform skills for production-grade infrastructure as code, including writing, refactoring, and reviewing modules Functional experience with the Serverless Framework, including maintaining and migrating legacy stacks Practical authoring of CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions, with readiness to lead a cicd-functions to GHA migration Experience setting up AWS WAF rules, activating block mode, and supporting incident response activities Familiarity with security tools such as SAST and SCA, alongside exposure to a structured compliance framework Brownfield mindset with a clear track record of migrations, decommissions, and refactors rather than greenfield projects Outstanding verbal and written English communication skills (B2+ level or higher) Nice to have Experience integrating internal and external systems through REST APIs, including approaches like ServiceNow OAuth client credentials flows Familiarity with Snowflake for cloud data warehousing, analytics, and data platform integration
