Position Summary
The Manager, Loan Agency Payments Team works in SRSA’s Loan Agency department and manages our Operation Analysts (“Payments Team”) that are responsible for payments, payment reconciliation, tax review, and validation and any required or requested reporting, including tax reporting. This position is expected to actively participate in day-to-day individual contributor responsibilities in addition to managing a small team of Operations Analysts.
Location: This is either a hybrid position based in our Denver, CO or Minneapolis, MN offices.
Compensation: The salary range for this position is between $90k and $105k, depending on experience level.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage the Payments Team that have the following duties:
- Create and review all payments for Loan Agency (ad hoc, payment uploads for scheduled payments, wires for fundings).
- Reconcile bank accounts across multiple banking platforms
- Generate required and requested reports for internal and external parties related to payments and tax reporting data.
- Review & validate deal-level tax reporting data throughout the year to reconcile, generate, deliver, and file year-end tax forms.
- Complete quarterly reconciliation for annual tax reporting.
- Respond to inquiries related to tax documents, tax reporting, and payments.
- Assign payment creation and reviews to the Payments Team for all deals within Loan Agency.
- Ensure all daily functions and tasks of the Payments Team are performed accurately and timely.
- Review and sign off on required reporting sent to external parties, and the quarterly reconciliation for annual tax reporting.
- Train new hires within the Payments Team on SRSA’s Loan Agency process and procedures and delivering ongoing training.
- Ensure training materials related to the Payments Team are kept current.
- Provide hands-on assistance and coverage to support the Payments Team, when needed.
- Mentor, set career development goals and conduct routine performance reviews with direct reports.
- Identify process improvements to enhance the customer experience, exceed SLAs, improve efficiency, and mitigate risk.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 3+ years of experience in operations, preferably in the financial services industry.
- 3+ years of Management experience.
- Deadline-driven and highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, good judgement and intuition, and the ability to communicate with external and internal parties in a responsive, friendly, professional, and proactive approach.
- Proven ability to collaborate with management and team members to align goals and complete all tasks.
- Demonstrate integrity in day-to-day administration of duties and all interactions with internal and external parties.
- High level of proficiency with computers and learning new software.
Physical Requirements/Special Demands
- Must be able to work on-site in Denver or Minneapolis in a hybrid schedule.
- Work demands may require more than 40 hours a week.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities.
