M&E Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary

Provide measurement and pricing support for Mechanical/Electrical contracts by estimating costs, liaising with suppliers, assessing variation orders, processing claims, and managing contract documentation to ensure accurate project administration.

Responsibilities

  • Support measurement and pricing activities for Mechanical and Electrical contracts to ensure accurate cost control
  • Calculate cost estimations and budgetary costs for Mechanical and Electrical services to inform project budgeting
  • Liaise with suppliers to obtain and evaluate quotations for project requirements
  • Assess and identify variation order (VO) work across all subcontract packages to manage contract changes effectively
  • Process monthly progress claims and final claims to facilitate timely project payments
  • Manage all contract administration and documentation related to the project to maintain compliance and organization
  • Maintain project documentation in an orderly and proper manner to support audit and reference needs

Required competencies and certifications

  • Diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word to support project documentation and technical tasks
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in the electrical field to ensure relevant technical expertise
