Marine Service Engineer

Position Summary:

Korindo Energy is a trusted energy infrastructure and solutions company for the maritime and energy industry. It has four business divisions which are Marine & Offshore, Defence, Power Infrastructure and Renewables.

We are headquartered in Singapore with a subsidiary in Indonesia and partner office in Malaysia, Vietnam and Australia. Our areas of business are mainly focused on South-East Asia and Australasia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Testing the performance of marine engines and electrical systems.
• Carrying out installation, start-ups and commissioning outboard motors, waterjets and ship engines.
• Conducting plumbing and intake repairs.
• Troubleshooting engine and electrical problems.
• Carrying out maintenance on marine equipment.
• Repairing faulty hydraulic and steering systems.
• Conducting electrical AC system maintenance.
• Completing service records and repair documents.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Knowledge of marine engine, propulsion and electrical auxiliary systems.
• Able to read, interpret technical and electrical drawings.
• Knowledge of marine hydraulic systems and related parts.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to work at sea.
• Knowledge of boat propulsion control systems.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good customer service skills.
• MUST be able to travel overseas for on-site maintenance or repairs assignments.

Qualifications/Education:

• ITE/Polytechnic Diploma or Certificate in marine and/or electrical engineering related.
• At least 3 years of experience in maintenance and repairs of outboard motors, marine engines or waterjets.
• Evidence of ‘Right to Work in Singapore’.
