Medical Instrument Technician (Ultrasound)

Perform a wide variety of complex diagnostic ultrasound examinations to support the diagnosis and treatment of disease or injury.

Utilize diagnostic two-dimensional imaging, spectral Doppler analysis, color and power Doppler, angio techniques, and real-time ultrasound imaging across multiple organ systems.

Analyze sonographic findings to distinguish between normal and pathological conditions.

Provide comprehensive training, instruction, and technical oversight to military personnel, sonographers, students, radiology residents, emergency room residents, and physician assistants.

Perform routine and periodic quality control testing, including phantom imaging and system performance evaluations.
