Mid-Level Accountant Analyst

As a Mid-Level Accountant Analyst, you will play a key role in Super's growing Finance team in Brazil, contributing to the accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement of financial operations. You will be responsible for day-to-day accounting activities, monthly reporting, and supporting both local tax obligations and international reporting standards in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
What the role involves
- Record day-to-day transactions, including monthly reporting and reconciliation of accounts
- Process invoices in line with current Brazilian VAT regulations, identifying and applying the correct tax rates
- Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger and journal entries; prepare balance sheets and monthly financial reports as required
- Assist in the preparation of tax-related obligations and ensure compliance with local tax regulations
- Assist in the preparation of intercompany invoices and monthly reconciliation
- Prepare financial statements and support the month-end and year-end closing process, including financial and internal audits
- Contribute to building and improving processes that support business growth and efficient workflows
What we are looking for
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, or a relevant CFC qualification
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting or finance role, or as an auditor
- Proven experience in bookkeeping and recording financial transactions
- Working knowledge of current Brazilian VAT regimes, including ICMS, IPI, ISS, PIS, and COFINS
- Strong knowledge of Brazilian Accounting Principles (PCBR) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Fluent or native-level Portuguese (Brazil)
- Structured approach to balancing multiple demands and priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to learn and motivation to advance in the field of accounting
