Mining Technical Support Manager

Technical Support & Application Expertise

· Provide technical support for mining customers across key applications (e.g., open gears, hydraulics, engines, gear oils, greases, coolants).

· Diagnose lubrication-related equipment issues and recommend optimized solutions.

· Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and provide actionable recommendations.

· Ensure proper product selection and application for heavy-duty mining environments.

· Be the focal technical point of contact with HQ mining technical teams to feedback technical topics at a global level.

Customer Engagement & Value Creation

· Partner with Sales teams to support key mining accounts and new business development.

· Deliver technical presentations, product training, and solution proposals to customers and distributors.

· Promote value-based selling by demonstrating and quantifying Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) benefits.

· Support technical aspects of commercial negotiations and tenders.

Field Trials & Performance Monitoring

· Design, implement, and manage lubricant field trials.

· Monitor product performance through oil analysis and condition monitoring.

· Prepare technical reports and recommendations for customers.

Distributor& Internal Capability Development

· Provide technical training and coaching to distributors and internal teams.

· Enhance local technical competency in mining applications.

· Support onboarding and development of new distributors where required.

Market & Product Feedback

· Capture customer insights and market needs to support product development and marketing strategies.

· Liaise with Mining HQ to receive and share Best Practices and challenges from the field.

· Identify competitive gaps and industry trends in the mining lubrication segment.

· Liaise with Mining OEMs regionally to promote our technical solutions towards the industry.

Safety & Compliance

· Ensure all activities comply with company and customer HSE standards.

· Promote safe lubricant handling and application practices on-site

Requirement
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

· Minimum 15 years of experience in Mining operations, Industrial lubricants / equipment maintenance / reliability engineering

· Strong understanding of heavy-duty lubrication systems and applications. oil analysis and condition monitoring techniques

· Experience with major mining equipment (e.g., CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi) is an advantage

· Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

· Willingness to travel frequently to mining sites

· Remote team work abilities and good autonomy
