Live & Learn Solomon Islands is seeking an NbS & Water Security Officer to support innovative, community‑led approaches that protect water sources and strengthen climate resilience through nature‑based solutions.
YOU ARE IDEAL FOR THIS ROLE IF:
- You hold a degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Public Health, or a related discipline
- You have 1–2 years of experience in WASH, environmental management, or water resources work
- You understand Nature‑Based Solutions and traditional environmental knowledge
- You have strong community facilitation and assessment skills
- You are fluent in Pidgin and English

- Help communities safeguard water sources using NbS approaches

WHAT WOULD YOU DO ON A DAILY BASIS:
In this role, you will support water security and NbS activities that protect natural water sources while improving community resilience.
Key responsibilities include:
Program Planning and Technical Support
- Support design and implementation of NbS initiatives for water protection
- Conduct assessments on water sources, ecosystems, and traditional practices
- Provide technical guidance on water quality and environmental sustainability
Capacity Building and Awareness
- Facilitate community trainings and awareness campaigns on NbS
- Promote traditional practices that support sustainable water management
- Support ward‑level and community‑led NbS initiatives
Monitoring, Reporting, and Compliance
- Track water quality and NbS intervention outcomes
- Prepare donor and internal reports
- Support budgeting and procurement for NbS and WASH activities
