NAVAL ARCHITECT

You will serve as a NAVAL ARCHITECT in the Structural Engineering/Planning Division, 412 of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR.

You will provide waterfront engineering support of submarine maintenance to include inspection and repair of structural components.

You will evaluate the integrity of existing shipboard structures and components and develop engineering guidance for repairs.

You will oversee the development of detailed specifications, material identification, quality assurance inspection and test requirements, calculations, documents, process instructions, drawings, memoranda, technical correspondence and reports.

You will communicate with stakeholders and develop technical justification for out of specification conditions.

You will provide engineering support for the work of production shops.

You will evaluate the effectiveness of work processes on personnel and customers to make recommendations for improvements.
