NURSE (INPATIENT CLINICAL/OB-GYN)

About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency, Naval Hospital, Directorate of Nursing Services, Maternal-Child Infant Nursing Department (Mother Baby Unit), Agana Heights, Guam. The incumbent services routine and high-risk obstetric patients during the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum period maximizing maternal and fetal health for patients within the Military Treatment Facility. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Provide comprehensive nursing care to routine and high-risk obstetric patients during antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum period.

Provide routine newborn care and offers services based on patient's assessed needs.

Serve as a Charge Nurse, making decisions regarding priorities for patient care for shift assignments.

Administer oxygen, IV fluids, amnioinfusion, blood products, and prescribed medications to patients.

Develop nursing care plans, setting standards of care, prescribing special care and identifying specific nursing problems for all patients.

Provide education to patients, family members, caregivers, and other medical professionals or paraprofessionals.
