Operations Executive (Warehouse & Sales Support)

Salling Search is currently recruiting for an Operations Executive (Warehouse & Sales Support) for a Dutch family-owned business with more than fifty years in marine electrical supply, opening its first office in Singapore.

You will be the first hire for this new operation, working side by side with the incoming Managing Director to build the business from an empty warehouse into a functioning operation.

This role is for someone who wants to build something and grow with it, not slot into a fixed job description.

Responsibilities

• Run goods receiving, unload containers, pick and pack orders, and manage stock and inventory
• Handle customer returns and keep the warehouse organised
• Support order processing, customer service, and quotations as the order book builds
• Take on procurement and supplier coordination as the operation grows
• Participate in customer meetings, tender and RFQ management
• Eventually supervise and hire your own team as the business scales

Requirements

• Ideally currently working in the maritime space — equipment supply, logistics, agency, or freight forwarding — with an understanding of how the trade operates
• Genuinely hands-on and comfortable moving between the warehouse floor and office desk
• Proactive, takes ownership, solves problems pragmatically, and is ambitious about long-term growth

Very few roles let you grow into the leadership of a business you helped build from day one. You will learn every part of the operation directly from the Managing Director and take on more responsibility as the company scales. For the right person, this becomes a senior leadership role helping run the Singapore business within a few years.

Other Information

• Office and warehouse located at Pioneer Road
• Monday to Friday plus alternate Saturday half-days; overtime expected during busy periods
