Operations Manager/ Assistant Operations Manager (Catering)

We are looking for a hands-on and organized Operations Manager to oversee catering operations, logistics coordination, and event execution. The ideal candidate is proactive, service-oriented, and experienced in managing event operations and service teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, train, and supervise catering staff to ensure smooth event setup and adherence to operational SOPs.
  • Oversee daily catering operations, including logistics coordination, manpower planning, and event execution.
  • Ensure timely delivery, setup, and breakdown of catering events according to schedule.
  • Maintain compliance with food hygiene, workplace safety, and operational standards.
  • Coordinate and deploy service staff for banquets, corporate functions, and catering events.
  • Liaise with clients on event requirements, setup arrangements, and operational needs.
  • Monitor the proper handling, storage, and maintenance of catering equipment and inventory.
  • Conduct onboarding and on-the-job training for new catering personnel.
  • Supervise service teams during events to ensure efficient operations and quality service delivery.
  • Support management with operational planning and other assigned duties when required.

Requirements:

  • Experience in catering, banquet, F&B, or event operations preferred.
  • Leadership experience will be a plus
  • Able to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Comfortable to carry heavy items and able to handle operational duties including loading/unloading.
  • Willing to work weekends, public holidays, and flexible hours when required.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards is an advantage.
  • Possess Class 3 driving license
