Physician (Allergy and Immunology)
About the Position: This position is located at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, Fort Bliss, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.
Serve as an Allergy-Immunology (A/I) Specialist responsible for diagnosis and treatment of a full range of allergy-immunology patients at a Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).
Provide consultative support to inpatient and outpatient physicians on treatment of patients who have allergic/immunological diseases.
Responsible for ordering and technical supervision of allergy immunotherapy, treatment of adverse reactions to immunotherapy/immunizations, drug challenges, drug desensitization, food challenges, and rush venom immunotherapy.
Oversee pulmonary function testing, epicutaneous and intradermal skin testing.
Review cases for service connected separation.
