Physician - Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist

The Anatomic and Clinical Staff Pathologist for the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, provides diagnostic services within the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service to include potential for subspecialty coverage as training permits.

Provide intraoperative and intra-procedural consultation as requested. Ordering/interpretation of appropriate immunohistochemical stains and special stains. Review appropriate clinical history/medical records in CPRS when responsible for autopsy coverage and ensure appropriate consent documentation before proceeding with autopsy. Perform/supervise autopsy. Issue completed autopsy report with clinicopathologic correlation within 30 working days of autopsy. Provide 24 hour on-call services as designated in the monthly schedule which is rotated among all pathologists. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm
