The Hematology/Oncology Physician Assistant (PA) position is within the Primary and Specialty Medicine Service Line. Duties include chronic disease management, preventative health care and evaluation of episodic acute illness to a predominately male population. Functions or Scope of Assigned Duties: Assesses and documents medical history, diagnosis, and plan of care. Initiates, orders, and evaluates plans of care for a panel of outpatient clients. Provides follow-up exams for mediation management and monitoring. Provides patient/family education regarding disease process, risk factor, symptom control, and treatment (including use of medication). Consults with other providers and multidisciplinary team.
