PHYSICIAN (NEUROLOGY)
About the Position: This position is located at Fort Hood, Texas. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.
Serves as a board-certified physician on the Neurology Service, responsible for the examination, diagnosis, and treatment of the full range of outpatients seen in the clinic and inpatients seen on the consult and ward services.
Performs medical duties in an outpatient clinic with an emphasis on migraine management including chemo denervation techniques.
Directs and supervises care for patients with primary neurological disorders requiring hospitalization.
Consults with other hospital services caring for inpatients (including the critically ill) with neurological conditions
Examines patients, orders, and evaluates the full range of electrophysiology, radiology, and laboratory tests
Makes referrals for appropriate urgent issues, and decompensation of chronic neurologic conditions.
Evaluates and treats patients with multiple complicated problems who were screened and referred by the Emergency Room for urgent or emergent neurologic issues.
