Physician (Womens Health)
The VAMC in Louisville, KY is recruiting for a full time Physician for Primary Care providing clinical care for Women Veterans. This position is located within the Newburg Clinic as part of the Primary Care Program which is part of the Louisville VA Medical Center.
Duties include but are not limited to: Providing clinical care for women Veterans. Maintaining exceptional Women's Health clinical skills. Providing patient care in accordance with professional standards, core values and commitment to excellent service. Working with all Clinical disciplines, and various Administrative Staff to provide high quality, continuous and consistent Women's Health outpatient care. Assuring the most effective delivery of Women's Health care, while meeting or exceeding compliance standards. Provides clinical expertise in women's health care - as evidenced by their clinical role in facility (i.e. PCP in women's health; preceptor for NP-PA students) Promotes sharing best practices in the facility's women's health clinics and Women's Center. Participating in programs and activities to raise awareness of Women Veteran's Healthcare offered by the VA and RRVAMC Activities may include Outreach programs, educational seminars, etc.. Clinical performance measure responsibilities are to include, but are not limited to: Cervical Cancer Screening, Breast Cancer Screening, Diabetic Measures, Ischemic Heart Disease Measures, Flu and Pneumococcal Vaccine Measures.
