Platform Engineer (Bare Metal) - Entry to Mid-level

You will build and scale the physical foundation of cloud infrastructure by provisioning, deploying, and configuring physical servers, networking, and operating systems. You will manage hypervisors and virtual machines, automate hardware provisioning and scaling, optimize networking and virtualization for performance, and write and review infrastructure automation code to improve tooling and reliability. You will operate both Day 1 setups and Day 2 ongoing operations to ensure resilient, automated infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Provision, deploy, and configure physical servers and networking components to support cloud infrastructure
• Design and implement optimized networking and virtualization solutions focusing on latency throughput and reliability
• Configure and optimize bare metal servers hypervisors and virtual machines across diverse hardware vendors
• Automate provisioning scaling and maintenance of hardware infrastructure
• Perform operating system deployment and system optimization on physical hosts
• Write review and maintain infrastructure automation code and internal tooling

Requirements

• Valid unrestricted work permit for the EU
• Good knowledge of Linux systems including customization scripting and system optimization
• Experience with L2 and L3 networking concepts including redundancy and load balancing and performance optimization
• Familiarity with IPMI Redfish and iDRAC hardware management tools
• Good scripting skills with Shell Bash or similar languages
• Experience with hypervisors (e.g., KVM) and managing virtual machines at scale
• Experience with Kubernetes deployment and operation (bonus)
• Knowledge of hardware supply chain vendor management and capacity planning (bonus)
