Platform Foundations Manager

As an Engineering Manager on the Platform Foundations team, you will collaborate with leaders across multiple engineering organizations at Apple, spanning UI layers to low-level OS infrastructure. You will build strong cross-functional partnerships while advocating for your team’s technical direction, priorities, and contributions. You will be responsible for project planning, execution, and resource allocation, ensuring your team consistently delivers high-quality solutions that delight customers around the world. Balancing hands-on technical leadership with people management, you will guide the development of innovative OS-level capabilities while supporting the growth and success of your engineers. Your team’s work underpins how features are built and delivered across the platform year after year, with a strong emphasis on quality, reliability, and performance. Minimum Qualifications 2+ years of engineering management experience leading iOS, macOS, or systems-level development teams 7+ years of software development experience with strong expertise in C, Objective-C, or Swift Proven track record of shipping complex software products and/or frameworks Experience with concurrent programming and multi-threading Exceptional problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills Open-minded, strong collaboration skills, pro-active mindset Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent work experience Preferred Qualifications - Solid understanding of Apple development technologies including libdispatch, XPC - Excellent understanding of optimization and performance issues across OS software layers - Experience developing public or private APIs
