Pool Technician
- Monitor and maintain swimming pool water quality, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hotel standards.
- Conduct regular testing of pool water parameters, including chlorine, pH, alkalinity, and other chemical levels.
- Adjust and administer pool chemicals as required to maintain proper water balance.
- Operate, inspect, and maintain pool filtration systems, pumps, dosing systems, heaters, and associated equipment.
- Perform routine cleaning of swimming pools, water features, pool decks, and related areas.
- Backwash filters and maintain filtration systems according to preventive maintenance schedules.
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform repairs as necessary.
- Carry out preventive maintenance programs for all pool-related systems and equipment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and water testing logs.
- Report equipment deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with hotel procedures and manufacturer recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, health codes, and hotel safety standards.
- Handle and store chemicals safely and responsibly.
- Maintain a safe working environment and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Respond promptly to pool-related emergencies or incidents.
- Support the hotel's sustainability and environmental initiatives by minimizing water and chemical waste.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and concerns related to pool facilities.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure pool facilities remain operational and guest-ready at all times.
- Maintain a positive and professional image while interacting with guests and colleagues.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical certification in pool maintenance, water treatment, or related field is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in swimming pool maintenance, preferably within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
- Knowledge of pool filtration systems, pumps, chemical dosing systems, and water treatment processes.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to swimming pools.
- Basic plumbing and mechanical maintenance skills.
- Good communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry maintenance equipment and chemical containers safely.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
