POWERED SUPPORT SYSTEMS MECHANIC

This job opportunity is for an POWERED SUPPORT SYSTEMS MECHANIC, position description D0324000, within the 177 AMX SQ of the New Jersey Air National Guard. This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position. The primary purpose of this position is to accomplish maintenance on electronically controlled powered support equipment containing highly complex digital devices and integrated circuits.

As an POWERED SUPPORT SYSTEMS MECHANIC, WG-5378-10, you will: Be responsible for the accurate interpretation of numerous operating instructions and test procedures to troubleshoot and repair a variety of highly complex pieces of powered support equipment Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, servicing, repair, and adjustments on complex rotary diesel engines Perform intermediate-level maintenance on powered support equipment and non-powered AGE Perform maintenance data collection and prepares other required forms Participate and assists in conducting the necessary safety programs Perform other Duties as Assigned

Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Areas of Consideration: T32-CAT 4 Individuals eligible for membership in the NJ National Guard Military Grades: AB/E-1 to SSgt/E-5 Security Clearance: Must have Security Clearance OR willing to obtain it within one (1) year of employment.
