Practical Nurse (Outpatient)

About the Position: This position is located at Fort Hood, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Provides practical nursing care to patients in the outpatient clinic with a variety of medical conditions.

Performing tasks such as recording vital signs, ordering labs, tracking patient’s laboratory, radiology orders and referral results to completion.

Administers prescribed medications with increased independence, ensuring proper patient dosages, routes, and times are followed.

Educates patients and families about prescribed treatments, reinforcing adherence to the medical plan.

Documents accurate administered medications and patient responses promptly in compliance with facility policies.

Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective management of patient medications.
