Practical Nurse (Outpatient)

About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency, Defense Health Network East, at Martin Army Community Hospital, within the Directorate of Medicine, located at Fort Benning, Georgia. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Provide practical nursing care to patients in the outpatient clinic with a variety of medical conditions.

Perform tasks such as recording vital signs, ordering labs, tracking patient’s laboratory, radiology orders and referral results to completion.

Administer prescribed medications with increased independence, ensuring proper patient dosages, routes, and times are followed.

Educate patients and families about prescribed treatments, reinforcing adherence to the medical plan.

Document accurate administered medications and patient responses promptly in compliance with facility policies.

Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective management of patient medications
