The client is an interior design company established in 2011, delivering comprehensive design, space planning, construction, and project management services for residential and commercial projects in Singapore and China.
Job Summary
Oversee end-to-end delivery of interior fit-out and A&A projects, managing timelines, budgets, subcontractors, and stakeholder communication to ensure successful project completion.
Responsibilities
- Lead interior fit-out and A&A projects from award to handover, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, work programs, and site activity plans to track progress and mitigate delays
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, site supervisors, and workers to ensure safe execution aligned with drawings and specifications
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor quality, progress, and compliance with regulatory and client requirements
- Collaborate with designers and consultants to resolve technical issues, review drawings, and manage variation orders and change requests
- Manage project costs by preparing quotations, cost plans, progress claims, variation order submissions, and final accounts
- Liaise with clients, landlords, and authorities for permits, inspections, and attend site and coordination meetings as needed
- Enforce workplace safety, health, and environmental requirements on site, including conducting toolbox meetings and risk assessments
- Prepare and present regular project reports covering progress, risks, and issues to management and stakeholders
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Civil, Structural, Building, Construction Management, Interior Design, or related discipline
- 2–5 years of experience managing construction or interior fit-out projects, preferably in commercial, retail, or office interiors
- Proficient in reading technical drawings and specifications with a solid understanding of construction processes and materials
- Strong coordination and interpersonal skills demonstrated by managing subcontractors and site teams effectively
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
- Familiarity with CAD, MS Office, and basic project management tools
- Willingness to work on-site and occasionally outside regular hours to meet project milestones
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and Mandarin Chinese
