Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain Quality Management Systems procedures.
  • Compliance with Customers’ specifications and procedures
  • Prepare process inspection plan.
  • Plan and implement gauges and equipment calibration systems.
  • Conduct QMS audit including at supplier sites.
  • Conduct training on QMS and GD&T
  • Supervise First Article, Incoming, In-Process and Final inspections and documentations.
  • Conduct relentless root cause analysis (RRCA) into production problems.
  • Lead in quality improvement projects
  • Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) on production processes.
  • Participate in cost reduction and environment, health & safety (EHS) initiatives.
  • Co-ordinate good housing keeping (5S) activities


Requirements

  • Technical education in Production / Mechanical Engineering, preferably Diplomas level.
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in precision manufacturing environment.
  • Good knowledge in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Good application of the RRCA tools eg 5 why, Cause and Effect diagram, 8D, DOE.
  • Well versed in AS9100 QMS systems.
  • Experience in conducting QMS audits.
  • Knowledge in Statistical Process Control
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (eg Word, Excel, Power point).
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Good initiative, a team player and motivated individual.
  • Customer focus and pro-active in working with business partners.
