Job Summary

Support tender processes by managing documentation, cost analysis, and subcontractor negotiations to ensure accurate and competitive tender submissions within project timelines.

Responsibilities

• Analyze tender documents to identify and clarify project requirements for accurate scope definition
• Collaborate with teams to plan and define the extent of works for tender submissions
• Manage tender activities to meet project deadlines and ensure timely completion
• Measure quantities and collect quotations to support cost comparison and tender price preparation
• Review quotations against design specifications to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Cross-check quantity take-offs from team members to identify and address overlooked items
• Proofread tender responses to incorporate accurate quantities and ensure completeness before stakeholder submission
• Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and partners to secure competitive rates
• Assess cost impacts from value engineering proposals and variations to optimize project budgets

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, or equivalent
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Singapore’s building construction industry, preferably with a main contractor
• Experience in tendering processes within construction projects
• Proficient in computer use, including advanced Excel skills
