Quantity Surveyor

Job description and responsibilities

  • Involved in cost analysis and contracts administration services
  • Prepare tender documents, tender evaluation reports, variation agreements
  • Monitor budget and keep track of project expenditures
  • Involve in all quantity surveying and contract administration activities for the project
  • Prepare and submit tenders including quantity taking off and pricing
  • Prepare letter of award to subcontractors and verify claims and cost control
  • Identify and prepare variations orders for the projects
  • Obtain subcontractors and suppliers quotation for costing
  • Perform cost comparison
  • Close liaison among project managers, designers and vendors
  • Ad-Hoc duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree Holder in Quantity Surveying or related disciplines
  • Minimum 1 years relevant experience in QS fields
  • Proactive, well-organized, attentive to detail and able to work under pressure
  • Work independently and a good team player
  • Previous exposure to sub-contractors and commercial contracts administration, cost and budgeting controls, claims handling, tender submission, materials pricing and costs estimation etc.
