Quantity Surveyor
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of tender/quotation for submission with specific deadline and as well as cost estimation;
- Responsible for taking off quantities, sourcing suppliers and sub-contractors, evaluation of price comparison and costing summary;
- Preparation of Monthly Progress Claim and Payment Responses to both Client and Sub-Contractors/Suppliers and all related project administration and documentation;
- Preparation of Contracts to Sub-Contractors and Suppliers;
- Participate in sourcing activities based on procurement strategies/operational needs;
- Responsible for day-to-day Purchase Order administration;
- Responsible for project procurement & cost control reporting, PO award and PO administration to final delivery and PO close out;
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for cost savings opportunities;
- Handle office administrative matters and preparation of quotation and variation order;
- Co-ordinate and establish good working relationship with project team, customers, consultants and sub-contractors to facilitate effective co-ordination of work activities;
- Provide assistance in keeping track of approvals during submission stage so as to ensure compliance with government authorities;
- Carry out site measurement if necessary;
- Other ad hoc duties as and when assigned by the superior or management.
Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or its equivalent;
- Minimum 1 year M&E QS experience in the building construction industry;
- Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications;
- Independent, committed, reliable, proactive and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
