Grundy County Memorial Hospital is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our team on an as-needed basis. In this role, you'll perform diagnostic imaging procedures that help providers diagnose and treat patients while ensuring a safe, comfortable, and positive experience throughout the imaging process.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with compassionate patient care. You'll work alongside a collaborative healthcare team, contribute to high-quality diagnostic services, and play an important role in supporting patient outcomes across the hospital.

Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations according to physician orders and department protocols
- Position patients appropriately and obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Prioritize patient safety by following radiation protection and ALARA guidelines
- Accurately document exams and maintain imaging records within electronic systems
- Collaborate with providers and care teams to support timely patient care
- Monitor imaging equipment, perform quality control activities, and report concerns as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and ready-to-use imaging environmentAssist with patient transport and support patient comfort throughout procedures
- Respond effectively to urgent situations while maintaining quality and efficiency
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate Degree in a Radiologic Technology preferred. Certificate from an Education Program Accredited by the JRCERT required.
Certification(s)/License(s):
- Certified and holds current registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
- Holds current Permit to Practice radiology in the state of Iowa.
Experience
- Previous Radiologic and Computed Tomography Experience Required
