Regional Regulatory Compliance Engineer, Hanoi - Vietnam

The candidate will work together with a team of highly skilled project managers, test engineers and developers – both local and remote. The candidate needs to preempt all upcoming standards/regulations that impact Apple products. The candidate needs to have strong connections with Vietnam and APAC regulators and be able to influence countries’ standards and regulations by direct advocacy and/or through industry associations.   The candidate needs to work out the certification requirements and test plans for new technologies and new products. The candidate needs to have strong RF test/certification experience in BT/WLAN/NFC/UWB/WPT/GSM/UMTS/ LTE/5G/MSS. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor degree Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering 5+ years of Regulatory compliance engineer experience Strong relationships with Vietnam and APAC region’s regulators, like MST etc. Experience in influencing regulations/standards changes in Vietnam and APAC region Deep understanding of wireless technology and RF test experience in BT/WLAN/NFC/UWB/WPT/GSM/UMTS/LTE/5G/MSS Familiar with RF test instruments Solid planning and excellent communication skills Self-motivated, proactive and able to be firm with external parties Fluent in English and Vietnamese Preferred Qualifications Masters degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering Familiar with WW and regional regulatory compliance requirements Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams across multiple time zones Ability to work collaboratively with external test labs and certification bodies Ability to effectively manage complex and/or ambiguous situations Ability to effectively influence others and drive for desired results Fluent in any other APAC local languages
