Research & Insights is the team that helps Salmon understand its customers, market, and business opportunities. We generate the insights that help teams make better decisions, improve customer experiences, and identify new opportunities for growth.

As Salmon continues to scale, customer and market understanding become increasingly important. This team works closely with Marketing, Product, Strategy, Growth, and Operations to ensure that business decisions are informed by reliable research and meaningful data.

We're looking for curious, detail-oriented individuals who enjoy solving problems, uncovering insights, and helping transform information into actionable recommendations.

About the Role

As a Research Associate, you will support the execution of qualitative and quantitative research projects across a variety of business topics and customer segments.

You'll work closely with researchers and cross-functional stakeholders to coordinate studies, recruit participants, conduct market and industry research, support fieldwork activities, and assist with data processing and reporting. This role offers broad exposure to research methodologies, consumer insights, and business decision-making.

What You'll Do

Research Project Coordination

  • Support research projects from planning through completion, including scheduling, documentation, and logistics management

  • Coordinate timelines, project trackers, and research materials to ensure smooth execution

  • Assist with managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

  • Support researchers in maintaining project quality and meeting delivery deadlines

Participant Recruitment & Fieldwork Support

  • Recruit, screen, and manage research participants to ensure study requirements and quotas are achieved

  • Coordinate participant communications, scheduling, and follow-up activities

  • Support virtual and in-person fieldwork, including venue or platform setup, note-taking, and issue resolution

  • Ensure a positive participant experience throughout the research process

Market & Industry Research

  • Conduct secondary research on industries, competitors, market trends, and consumer behavior

  • Gather and organize information from credible sources to support business and research objectives

  • Monitor relevant market developments and identify emerging trends

  • Support the development of research briefs and background materials

Data Processing & Analysis Support

  • Assist with data encoding, data cleaning, and organization of research datasets

  • Support basic analysis of qualitative and quantitative research findings

  • Maintain structured databases, trackers, and research documentation

  • Ensure accuracy and consistency across research outputs and reporting materials

Reporting & Insights Support

  • Prepare research summaries, trackers, reports, and presentation materials

  • Assist in translating research findings into clear and actionable insights

  • Support the creation of stakeholder-ready presentations and documentation

  • Help ensure research findings are communicated effectively across the organization

What Makes You a Strong Fit

  • At least 1 year of professional work experience

  • Exposure to research through professional work, internships, academic projects, or related activities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Filipino

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office applications, including Docs, Sheets/Excel, and Slides/PowerPoint

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to conduct credible, structured, and efficient online research

  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new methodologies and tools

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Domain Expertise

Interest or familiarity with:

  • Market research
