Resident Technical Officer (Archi)
Responsibilities
- Assist Consultants/client/RE in the supervision and quality assurance of Architectural and External construction works on site
- Ensure that all installation methods and material used are in accordance with the contract drawings and specifications
- Liaise with the contractors/sub-contractors in the coordination of site works
- Highlight discrepancies, feedback site progress and irregularities to Consultants
- Ensure the contractors maintain work safety, cleanliness and tidiness of the site
- Monitor project progress schedule and quality standards.
- Maintain and update site records on project progress.
- Ensure proper maintenance and updating of site documentation for ongoing works, site meetings, safety records, method statements, shop drawings, as-built submissions etc.
- Be familiar with and check all method statement and drawings (including authority submission and shop drawings) and to supervise works carried out on-site are in accordance to them.
- Carry out regular site checks on contractors & ensure compliance with health and work safety per MOM regulations.
- Inspect and monitor the requirement and quality of architectural finishing and interfacing, and to ensure all architectural works are executed in full compliance with approved plans.
- Inspect the architectural coordination and quality of workmanship, materials, and samples delivered to site; initiate corrective actions for any non-compliance and report to the Resident Engineer (RE) or Qualified Person (QP) for materials not meeting specifications
- Inspect and supervise architectural, interior and external works
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in design or construction related field fromUniversity/Polytechnic
- Minimum 5 years relevant local building construction experience asArchitectural RTO
- Must have experience in Singapore construction and have capability tosupervise architectural and interiors works
- Accredited with IES/ACES with a valid Resident TechnicalOfficer Practicing Certificate is an advantage but not compulsory
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Expected to know the prevailing Building Control Act, Building ControlRegulations, etc, and be conversant with all the requirements concerning supervision, quality control, reports and other documentation.
