ROV / CROV Pilot Technicians
Job Description:
- Operating ROV & CROV during underwater operations in compliance with approved company procedures and objectives.
- Perform electrical, mechanical repair and maintenance of the ROV & CROV and ancillary systems.
- Assist Senior/Lead ROV Pilot in performing marine operations e.g. lifting, launching and recovery of ROV & CROV.
- Assist Senior/Lead ROV Pilot in coordinating with various stakeholders during marine operations e.g. port authorities, customer vessels and bunker barges.
- Preparation of reports and required documentation for pre- and post- operations.
- Research and development of ROV & CROV system to improve operational and technical efficiency.
- Performing other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
Job Requirements:
- Basic technical knowledge in electrical and electronics engineering preferred. Those with basic mechanical engineering background are also welcome to apply.
- Ability to critically evaluate problems and perform troubleshooting to improve the design and capabilities of the ROV & CROV.
- Possess good 3-dimensional spatial awareness.
- Possess good knowledge of general marine and electrical safety processes, and a safety-first mindset.
- Previous offshore ROV experience preferable but not necessary
- Possess Microsoft Operating system and Office.
- Meticulous, task-orientated and continuously striving to achieve a high-quality level of work.
- Possess positive, hands-on and persevering attitude.
- Willing to work as part of a cohesive team to achieve common goals and objectives.
- Mentally and physically able and prepared to work on a vessel and shipyard environment.
- Able to work irregular shift hours (when required).
